The Attributes of God you need to be.

God explains who he is to Moses in Exodus 34:5-7,heres the verses.
5 Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. 6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.”
You see some of these that he is gracious You see he has compassion,love,faithfulness,self control,forgiveness,

the lord is also a just God as it states and he wont see the guilty go unpunished.
we are told that vengeance is his and I do believe that to be an attribute in itself that we shouldnt have but Give to our heavenly Father,
There is such a thing as righteous anger though.and when jesus came into the temple and whipped out the moneychangers he was showing that.
God gave us these emotions for a reason.To use them in the correct manner.
Anger is of God too.when it is used correctly.More often than not we dont use it that way,we get mad over what someone does to us and we want to exercise “revenge” instead of forgiveness,

Another attribute of God is that he does not worry.Jesus tells us “do not worry”

God the Father has the same attributes as God the Son,as Jesus said:You have seen the son you have seen the father”"I and my father are one”

Here are the 7 things the lord hates,these are not his attributes.and if they are yours then I advise you repent of them:
Proverbs 6:16 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
Here are 7 things the lord loves and these are the fruits of the spirit.it is what the spirit will produce in those that are the lords:
what are the fruits of the spirit..those represent the character of God and what Jesus expresses the christian to be when the apostle paul gave those which are:”But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness”as said in galatians 5:22
thats the fruit you will bear if you are of Jesus..the holy spirit will continue to mold you and shape you as a new creation.these attributes become more and more you as the old you becomes less and less of a stain.

Jesus Forgave others and wants us to forgive others and the bible says if we do not forgive others your heavenly father wont forgive you.
so one of the attributes of God is forgiveness,and we are to imitate christ.so we must forgive.

Jesus stated in Matthew 15:19 regarding the works of the human heart that are not of the father and these are not his attributes:
Matthew 15:19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20 “These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

The ten commandments laid out in exodus also give us an idea of the ways of God and how he wants us to live and what attributes we should present in regard to others and how we should live and treat others..and how we should worship God.

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
so that being the greatest commandment is the most important to God when it comes to the way we live as christians.this is affirming Gods attributes.

I advise all of you to find more scriptures as you read the word of God that will lead you to Gods attributes and how he is and how he wants us to live.

what else is the lord?well if you study the bible you will realise his attributes and you will read what he wants us to be in Christ.
Just read the gospels and you will see the tender compassion the lord showed to others,
this is exactly the way we should be towards others.
Jesus attributes based on scripture we find:
Love, compassion, humility, patience, longsuffering, mercy and mercifulness, graciousness, gentleness, meekness, kindness, holiness, perfection, prayerfulness, submission, obedience, divine anger, joy, peace, sensitivity to others, the ability to read into people thoughts and hearts, spiritual strength,
All these we need to strenghthen and we need to grow in..via the holy spirit.

as we see love is very important attribute for the christian.The most important one.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. (Phil 2:5-7)
